The Cube Disability, Roe Road

This was the first provision we opened in Northampton, after expanding there from Daventry in 2011. It is arguably our largest provision, capable of catering for up to 30 clients per day.

We have a social games room, sensory room and computer room at our Roe Road provision, which clients are encouraged to use for educational and research purposes as well as play. The pool table is very popular, and there is always something being prepared in the spacious modern kitchen area.

The large purpose-built dancefloor is used for dance and sporting activities, which are regularly hosted by external tutors.

As at all of our provisions, clients at Roe Road are encouraged to participate in all activities, regardless of their abilities, with the help of our capable team of support staff.

There is an outside area at our Roe Road centre which clients enjoy maintaining and decorating.

The provision is set in a residential street, so we have built good relationships with our neighbours who are very supportive of our work.

Being located so close to Abington Park and the Racecourse allows us to take our clients out walking and to play outdoor games, weather permitting.

Our minibus is used to transport clients from Roe Road to wherever we are hosting sports, trips, and activities, if not within walking distance.

Team Roe Road

We pride ourselves on appointing suitable trained staff. In line with current legislation, every member of staff is Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checked and was interviewed by our clients as part of our recruitment process.

Our Roe Road provision is managed by Jade May, who has built strong relationships with our clients and their families/carers during her time at The Cube.

Jade manages a team of dedicated support workers who consistently go above and beyond to help our clients. They all work hard to ensure our clients get the best service.
